Teaching:
The purpose of a Pastor or leader in the Church is described often as a teacher. The word “teach” occurs 109 times in the Bible.
It means to let the Word of God flow, to lay out truth, to throw truth out to be received. To point out truths, etc… Like a farmer planting seed or a shepherd feeding the flock. Teaching God’s Word is a calling and an honor which carries a stronger responsibility with it.
These terms are active, The teacher teaches, and the hearer catches hold of what is taught. For the purpose of building up the Christian, Building the disciple, and building the Church.
A teacher of others:
2Timothy 2:2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
A servant teacher:
2Timothy 2:24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
A preacher / teacher:
1Timothy_4:11 These things command and teach.
Qualifications to teach:
1Timothy_3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
